Teachers started moving into the new James Clemens High School on Monday.
Principal Dr. Brian Clayton said that most of the school’s 59 teachers began getting their classrooms ready even though construction is still being wrapped up.
The first day of school is set for August 20.
“They were very excited to get in here and get started,” Clayton said about the teachers’ reactions to new campus.
“There will still be some construction going on even after the first day of school,” said Clayton. “It will not be a problem though. We will still be able to have class.”
Clayton said that the number of students enrolled at the school so far is around 1,100.
