Thorpe, a Madison native, has over twenty years of experience working with businesses to help them achieve their financial goals. He most recently served as Market Executive for First Commercial Bank in Madison.

Thorpe earned both a degree in Business and Economics and a Masters of Business Administration from Auburn University. He has been appointed Chairman of the City of Madison Industrial Development Board.

Thorpe is a graduate of Leadership Huntsville Class 25. He is also the 2011 winner of the Excellence in Leadership and Service Award presented by the Madison Chamber of Commerce.
He works closely with and serves on several non-profit boards including: The Madison Hospital, The Riley Behavioral and Educational Center, First Community Health Plan Inc., and is past president of the Madison Chamber of Commerce. Thorpe is also active within the community through his participation and involvement in the Madison City School System, Council of Madison City PTAs, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Rotary Club of Madison, the Madison Mayhem Softball Organization and Asbury United Methodist Church.
