Madison police say man in Limestone jail is responsible for multiple residential burglaries

Madison Police said Tuesday evening they have obtained arrest warrants on a subject for multiple residential burglaries.

Larry Lee Schelling, 24, is currently in the Limestone County Jail on related theft charges. On Oct. 25, he was arrested at an apartment he was staying in on

Royal Drive in Madison on the theft charges through Limestone County.

After searching the apartment with a warrant, investigators located multiple items from previous burglaries in Madison, including five firearms, jewelry boxes, and a 60-inch flat screen television.

Two pots containing marijuana plants were also found in the apartment.

Madison Police investigators have obtained warrants for three counts of Burglary 3rd, four counts of Theft of Property 1st, and one count of Manufacturing a Controlled Substance 1st.

The total bond is $175,000.

Police said the investigation continues and more charges may be pending.
