Fireworks shows planned for the 4th of July

There will be plenty to see and do this Fourth of July. Several free events are scheduled to help you celebrate America’s independence. Here are a few of our favorite ones:

STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER
JULY 4TH CELEBRATION
Dublin Memorial Park
8324 Old Madison Pike, Madison

Activities will be held throughout the day including inflatables, games, food trucks and vendors, live entertainment and finally, a spectacular fireworks display scheduled for approximately 9 pm. Handicap parking only at the park. All other parking will be at Bob Jones HIgh School with free shuttle service beginning at 2 pm and ending after the fireworks display around 8:45.

JULY 4TH CELEBRATION AT
U.S. SPACE & ROCKET CENTER
U.S. Space & Rocket Center
One Tranquility Base, Huntsville

Enjoy special, family-friendly patriotic activities during regular museum hours, 9 am to 5 pm. The Rocket Center will close at 5 pm, and there are no evening activities inside the park on July 4. Instead, the Center will launch its largest fireworks display ever at 9 pm.

For the safety of guests, the large fireworks display requires the closing of the parking lot in front of the Davidson Center for Space Exploration, and very limited parking is available in the main lot. Visitors are encouraged to view the breathtaking, patriotic show from other areas in the vicinity of the Rocket Center.

SPIRIT OF AMERICA FIREWORKS SHOW
Point Mallard, Decatur

Now in its 52nd year, the City of Decatur will host the Spirit of America Festival and provide free, family entertainment to thousands of area residents in celebration of the 4th of July. For many years, the Spirit of America Festival has attracted thousands of families to Point Mallard Park in Decatur for some free star-spangled fun. Don’t miss this spectacular fireworks show. It will be held from 8:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.
