Madison firefighters fought a house fire Monday afternoon, along with crews from Monrovia, Harvest and Toney volunteer fire departments.
A house fire broke out at on Horse Pin Place around 1:30 p.m.
Smoke could be seen for several miles and flames were shooting through the roof and windows when firefighters arrived.
It’s unknown if anyone was inside the home at the time of the fire.
According to news report by WAAY 31, a witness said that a boy at the home was shooting firecrackers in the driveway when a can of spray paint exploded and appears to have torched other chemicals inside the garage. No was reported injured in the fire.
The official cause of the fire is under investigation.
