The James Clemens High School softball team would like to invite the community to join them for the 1st Annual “Evening with the Jets” fundraiser on Thursday, Nov. 15.
The evening will begin at 5:45 in the JCHS Gymnasium. Each $100 ticket will include: 2 steak dinners (steak, potato, salad and dessert) and one entry into the cash door prize drawings ($4000 in cash prizes to be given away).
Other evening activities include live music, fun games, and a silent auction.
A few of the great items up for biding in the silent auction include: a Nick Saban autographed football, various rounds of golf, spa gift certificates, free nights at hotels, a hunting weekend, and many more items.
As the inaugural season approaches, head coach A. J. Daugherty has outlined a long term vision for building the team into a regional contender. Though the community has provided the school building and basic facilities necessary to compete, additional facilities will be required for the program to flourish.
A top priority is an indoor hitting/practice area to permit training, uninterrupted by inclement weather. Additionally, the team plans to add dugouts and lights to the practice field to allow the program to host fund-raising tournaments which will bring additional walk-in business to local establishments.
