Monday was supposed to be the day that Dr. Iqbal Memon goes to trial for his alleged role in trying to help his son escape the country to avoid prosecution.
Dr. Memon’s son, Hammad, is facing murder charges for the 2010 shooting of his classmate, Todd Brown, at Discovery Middle School.
Dr. Memon wants to delay his trial until the conclusion of his son’s case. The judge granted the request. A trial date has not been set. Hammad Memon is expected in court for a status conference March 14.
Dr. Memon and his wife Safia are charged with hindering prosecution. Investigators say the couple tried to get their son Hammad out of the country to avoid his murder trial.
