Commissioners name new fire marshal

Bobby Rollins has been named the new Madison County Fire Marshal. He was already employed with the County Fire Marshal’s Office and was hired by the County Commission to fill the job left vacant by a retirement.

Rollins brings 25 years of experience to the position.

He will investigate arson fires, inspect buildings, and work closely with the Madison County Association of Volunteer Firefighters.

“Training is the most important thing – firefighting, law enforcement, arson investigation changes every two to three days. Something new coming out, something somebody is trying, hasn’t tried in the past,” said Rollins.
