Bob Jones and Discovery schools out all day due to water main break

Classes at Bob Jones High School and Discovery Middle School will not have school on Friday due to a water main break.

Madison Utilities General Manager Ricky Pounders said the main break happened at the Madison Utilities pump facility on McAdoo Drive and Coveshire Place. Crews were making construction upgrades on Thursday when the water main line burst.

A temporary boil water advisory has been issued for an area east of Hughes Road, north of Madison Pike, and south of Bradford Farms.
