“Mad Dog” encourages Madison area students to make the right choice against drug use

Dale “Mad Dog” Messmer spoke to students at Discovery Middle School on Tuesday.

Dale “Mad Dog” Messmer, former Marine, mercenary, bounty hunter, body guard, pilot, stuntman, actor and ex-convict, was a guest speaker at Madison City Schools during Red Ribbon Week.

Messmer spent over a decade in prison in four states for crimes including drug offenses, weapons violations, money laundering and racketeering. After his release from prison, “Mad Dog” founded the Straight Talk Outreach Program. He has taken his message about what life choices NOT to make, to schools and youth organizations across the country. “Mad Dog” is an ex-con telling kids like it really is. His aim is to save kids from drugs, gangs and violence.

Messmer spoke to students at Discovery Middle School, Liberty Middle School, St. John’s Catholic School and James Clemens.

The Madison Police Department helped make the presentations possible.
